PLAYER NEWS, 17th JULY 2018, Lymm welcome – Jake Maher

Lymm RFC Player News Update – 17th July 2018

Head Coach Adam Fletcher is pleased to announce that last season’s squad have all committed to the 2018-2019 season.

Adam said “This is great news, after the success of last season it’s great to be able to push forward with this talented squad.”

Adam continued, “As always I am keen to add to the existing squad as each season is likely to be more difficult than the previous one. However it’s not easy to recruit when you are an amateur club, you have to rely on a bit of luck and new players moving to the area being excited by the excellent brand of rugby we strive to play at Lymm.”

First through the door is Jake Maher. Jake is a centre that hails from Fleetwood. He has most recently played at Blackburn. Jake already knows a couple of the squad after his time on the Myerscough College AASE program. Jake has also represented Lancashire from U15s – U20s.

Adam stated “Jake has looked good so far, he looks like a big powerful centre with some very nice skills. Jake is keen to learn and has been busy learning our systems and shape. I’m sure he will make a great impact.”

Welcome on board Jake.
